Goods smuggling ring busted in Lang Son
Police in the northern border province of Lang Son have caught 24 suspects red-handed trying to smuggle over 100 tonnes of contraband goods into Vietnam from China.

The suspects, consisting of two foreigners and 22 Vietnamese, were caught at 9:30 pm in Cao Loc district’s Cao Lau commune on December 14. They were moving sacks of contraband from two foreign nameplate cars to five local ones.
The police temporarily arrested eight of the suspects and seized 100 tonnes of contraband, including herbal medicines, spare auto parts, and family goods, worth billions of VND.
Further investigation is underway.
