In honour of International Women’s Day on March 8, Frasers Law Company hosted its inaugural Women in Business Breakfast meeting at The Guest House, Park Hyatt Saigon.

Madam Nguyen Thi Mai Thanh, chairwoman of REE Corporation, and a pillar of the Vietnamese business community, delivered the keynote speech that focused on the strength that Vietnamese women have exhibited throughout the country’s changing times.

“Through their self-development and professional development, women have become more proactive in developing their own knowledge and skills for their careers,” she said.

Madam Mai Thanh was also the recipient of the inaugural ‘Frasers Vietnam Businesswoman of the Year’ award. In accepting the award, she said that she did so on behalf of businesswomen everywhere.

The event was also made special thanks to the panel discussions comprised of exemplary women from the Vietnamese and international business community: Cat-Thao Nguyen, founder of Global Ready, Trang Bui, country head of Cushman & Wakefield Vietnam, Gwen Brooker, partner of Frasers Law Company, Irene Ohler, founder of Lightpath Leadership, Chau Ta, executive director at SC Capital Partners, and Nguyen Thi Dung, head of Legal Compliance at SmartNet.

The discussions gave attendees insightful and practical examples about how diversity and inclusion can be practised in business.

“In celebrating International Women’s Day, it is important to promote a truly inclusive workplace,” said Mark Fraser, managing partner of Frasers Law Company.

“In our 30 years of practice in Vietnam, our team has been composed mostly of women, so it is our duty to continue to promote the diversity, equity and inclusion not just in business but also in our own communities,” added Mark Fraser.
