Four Vsmart phones to be sold over the world

At the launching ceremony yesterday (December 14), VinSmart announced the price of its four Vsmart phones, the Joy 1, Joy 1+, Active 1, and Active 1+.

Of these, low-end smartphone Vsmart Joy 1 runs on a Snapdragon 435, with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of memory, and a 5.5 inch screen and will cost VND2,490,000 ($108.2). The larger model Vsmart Joy 1+ (Snapdragon 430, 3GB RAM, 32GB memory, 6.2 inch screen) will be a tad more expensive at VND3,390,000 ($147.4).

Meanwhile, in the mid-end segment, Vsmart Active 1 with Snapdragon 660, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and a 5.5 inch screen will be sold for VND4,990,000 ($217) and Vsmart Active 1+ with 6.2 inch edge-to-edge screen, Snapdragon 660, 6GB RAM, and 64GB ROM will be sold for VND6,290,000 ($273.5). All devices offer two SIM slots.

In the next phase, these smartphones will be sold at VND2,590,000 ($112.6) for Vsmart Joy 1, VND3,590,000 ($156) for Vsmart Joy 1+, VND5,290,000 ($230) for Vsmart Active 1, and VND6,590,000 ($286.5) for Vsmart Active 1+.

According to CEO VinSmart Tran Minh Trung, Vsmart will not only be sold in Vietnam, but also over the world. At the beginning, they will be sold in five overseas markets, including Russia and Spain. All smart devices of VinSmart will be displayed on online sales websites over the world.

Moreover, in 2019, Vsmart will continue expanding to other segments. The company’s representative disclosed that they are working on launching Vsmart Star in the low-end segment, Vsmart Live in the higher-mid-end segment, Vsmart Lux in the high-end segment, and Vsmart Super Lux in the super-high-end segment (Lux is also the name of a VinFast car model that was launched just last month).

Vinsmart said that the business is researching new technology, such as fingerprint sensors, facial recognition, and even security operating system, to equip on the next Vsmart models.
