C.P. Vietnam in Top 100 Sustainable Businesses for second time

Representative of C.P. Vietnam received the award "Top 100 sustainable businesses"

Being the leading farming company in the agricultural and food industry operating under the Feed-Farm-Food model, C.P. Vietnam is aware of the importance of sustainable development in business and is determined to develop sustainable agriculture and build outstanding values for the community, while maintaining the growth of its business.

“The group has paid great attention to developing sustainable agriculture, mobilising all financial and human resources at our disposal to build the agricultural-food industry chain with the direction of a closed, modern, and sustainable production chain in order to create a safe source of food for people, based on the group’s principle 'Benefit for the country, people, and the company”, Montri Suwanposri, CEO of C.P. Vietnam, said.

Launched in 2016, the ceremony to announce the Top 100 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam was one of the most anticipated awards of the year for the enterprise community, as it provides a comprehensive outlook on the sustainability efforts of each enterprise. This year's awards attracted the participation of more than 500 local and foreign-invested companies.

The enterprises were selected based on the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) compiled by the VCCI that includes 98 criteria across the three categories of economy, society, and the environment.

Vu Tien Loc, chairman of the VCCI, said, “This award will be a medal of honour for companies to flaunt when approaching large partners, new customers, and consolidating existing relationships.”

This is the second year that C.P. Vietnam receives this award, showing its unabated efforts to become the kitchen of the globe as well as its determination to bring high-quality and nutritious food to the people. These products are recognised for their environmentally-friendly production standards as well as the business activities tied closely to community development.
