This is the first year BUV established the Sir Graeme Davies Scholarship to commemorate the contributions to education by Sir Graeme Davies who also served as the vice-chancellor of the University of London between 2003 and 2010. This is a full scholarship for students studying for a bachelor’s programme at BUV, awarded by University of London, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the UK.

The BUV Scholarship Fund 2023 will continue to offer Vietnamese students prestigious full scholarship programmes, including four British Ambassador’s Scholarships for comprehensively outstanding students. The British Ambassador’s Scholarship worth more than includes the full tuition of a bachelor’s programme at BUV awarded by Staffordshire University (UK), alongside a foundation course. Admission criteria include academic achievements, experiences participating in social and extracurricular activities, and refined personal development goals and plans for the future.

In addition, this year, the Lion’s Heart Scholarship programme has been increased to two scholarships with a total value of more than $81,000, which expands the opportunity to access British higher education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each scholarship will cover the tuition fees for Pathway programmes and an undergraduate course.

Other scholarship programmes include the Founders’ Scholarship, President’s Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship, Talent Scholarship for students with excellent achievements in the field of sports, culture and art; and Women in IT Scholarship for female students in Computing and Innovative Technology. In addition, the University also offers a Cooperative Scholarship programme exclusively for excellent students from BUV's partner high schools, along with a variety of other financial support for outstanding students.

Established in 2018, BUV Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund has made a significant contribution to the community, continuing to journey to light up the education pathway of many talented students irrespective of their financial condition and backgrounds. Hundreds of students have been facilitated to study high-quality British degrees in an international environment and become motivated to constantly discover, research, create opportunities for themselves, and bring value to the community.

The University’s mission is to, first and foremost, create graduates who are ‘good’ human beings with ethics of kindness and caring for both people and the environment."

"Its graduates will also be trained, irrespective of their discipline of study, to be design thinkers and innovators conscious of creating new and exciting opportunities for themselves and the people of Vietnam. Hence, to align with BUV’s mission and its broader commitment to the future of Vietnam, each year, BUV provides scholarship funding to allow talented young Vietnamese students to realise their education dream and contribute to Vietnam’s future.”

Accreditation and quality assurance are among the top priorities and are regularly conducted by the University. Recently, BUV became the first higher education institution in Vietnam to be certified with an overall rating of 5 stars by the internationally acknowledged QS organisation.
