The business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform, Alibaba.com, with support from the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), has opened registration for the Vietnam National Pavilion programme on Alibaba.com. The registration period opened on November 28, and will run until January 15, 2024.
The selection of outstanding businesses to participate in the Vietnam National Pavilion on Alibaba.com kicked off on November 28 |
The goal of the initiative is to promote the diversity of Vietnamese-made products while enhancing the reputation of the nation's businesses and brands and increasing awareness of high-quality Vietnamese products in the global market.
The programme also aims to promote international trade activities and enable global customers to better understand Vietnamese products and the country's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Vietrade, the MoIT, and Alibaba.com Vietnam have simplified the 14 approval criteria. The mandatory requirements that will be considered are reputation and quality, the continuous and effective use of B2B e-commerce tools, and export potential, among others.
Vu Ba Phu, director general of Vietrade said, "Cooperating with Alibaba.com will give Vietnamese SMEs the opportunity to access the global market and achieve outstanding growth in the digital environment, helping them maintain sustainable success amidst the unpredictable fluctuations in global trade."
Participating businesses had the opportunity to connect with industry experts, share valuable information and knowledge, and participate in direct one-to-one consulting, allowing them to maintain a leading position in the rapidly growing export industry.
