BRG Group lending hands to aid Hanoians in need

Responding to the movement ‘For the poor – not leaving anyone behind’ initiated by the prime minister, on October 11, Vietnamese private conglomerate BRG Group donated $21,740 to the Hanoi Fund for the Poor at the launching ceremony of the month dedicated to the poor and social wellbeing of the city.

Following the move, BRG Group continues asserting its commitment to accompanying Hanoi’s community-oriented activities to ensure social wellbeing, helping people in need to rise up in life and escape poverty sustainably.

In 2020, BRG Group and North Hanoi Smart City joint venture contributed $43,470 in response to the movement on aiding the poor of Hanoi.

For a couple of years now, philanthropic activities have been one of top priorities by BRG, as well as its member units.

The support is reflected via diverse forms, such as making contributions to diverse funds for social wellbeing, donating gratitude houses to people in need, and the families of revolutionary people.

During the pandemic, aside from ensuring stable business operation and employees’ lives, BRG and its member unit SeABank's charity fund financed $8.7 million to the fight against COVID-19 and social wellbeing activities across the country.

BRG has also focused on supporting children facing adversity through donations and scholarships, the Hanoi children sponsorship fund, and the ‘SeABank Run for Future’ funding programme, among others.
