The information was released at a press meeting, hosted by Danang People's Committee and BRG Group, in the central coastal city of Danang on July 30 to inform about the event.
After two years, the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 continues to take place from August 29-31 at Legend Danang Golf Resort, with the participation of 144 top Vietnamese and international golfers.
With the advantage of owning high-class golf courses in the region and the significant development of golf tourism in key international markets, Danang is considered to have an important position in golf tourism in the strategy of specialised market segmentation.
In the first six months (H1) of this year, the number of golf rounds held at three golf courses in Danang reached 88,502 rounds, an increase of more than 4,000 rounds compared to the same period in 2023 (84,327 rounds); Legend Danang Golf Resort course dominated with more than 59,000 rounds.

Tran Chi Cuong, Deputy Chairman of Danang People’s Committee, noted “Consecutive hosting of the Asian Golf Development Tournament - BRG Open Golf Championship Danang for three years in 2022 -2023 -2024, contributes to affirming Danang’s position as ‘Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination’ and is an important milestone in developing the city’s golf tourism to become one of the leading golf tourism destinations in Asia and the world, contributing to promoting the high-quality tourism, aligned with the city’s tourism development orientation”.
In 2024, the BRG Open prize purse now stands at $100,000, with 25 per cent of the fund coming from tournament partner SeABank and the tournament official hotel, Sheraton Grand Danang Resort and Convention Centre.

Mark Reeves, general deputy director at BRG Group, assumed that the event serves as a solid platform to inspire Vietnamese golfers and allows them to measure themselves against top talent in the region as they consider a career in the professional game.
