VWS sows seeds of sustainability in Da Phuoc commune

Vietnam Waste Solutions (VWS) in collaboration with Da Phuoc Communal People's Committee has recently launched a campaign to plant 600 plantlets in Da Phuoc commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City.

Kevin Moore, managing director of VWS said that he was happy to join this community campaign that was put underway after Vietnam has successfully contained the pandemic. This is also a chance for VWS to pay back to the community. The plants will not only protect the environment but also bring high economic values for the community.

The campaign aims to celebrate World Environment Day and the month of environmental action in Da Phuoc commune in 2020. Accordingly, the local authorities and communities will join forces with VWS employees to plant 600 plants on the three main streets, namely Lien Ap, Road 4C, and Road 4B.

Vo Thanh Son, Deputy Chairman of Da Phuoc Communal People's Committee, said that the tree-growing activity will help raise awareness among local authorities and the people about the sustainable exploitation and protection of the environment as well as reducing plastic and household waste.
