Volvo hosted the event to provide the Vietnamese golfing community with a professional environment.
The championship came with several innovations, creating excitement and drawing participation from hundreds of players across the country, after being successfully held for the first time in 2019.
Volvo Vietnam CEO Luu Bao Huong said, "Volvo has been present in Vietnam since 2016, and over the past six years, we have been proud of the high-quality vehicles that have won numerous awards worldwide. They also are at the cutting edge of safety technology and both fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly."

With a potential prize pool of up to VND30 billion ($1.26 million), the Volvo Golf Championship Vietnam 2022 introduced a prize structure that boasted the top amateur tournament prize structure in the country.
The reward included 12 Volvo vehicles in the Hole-In-One category, including 04 Volvo XC60 T8 Recharge, 04 Volvo V60 Cross Country, and 04 Volvo S90L Inscription models.

In addition to golf, Volvo Car Vietnam is also a leader in promoting new musicians by sponsoring events such as the 2019 Vietnam International Music Competition for Violin and Chamber Music and many other significant endeavours.
