VinSmart expects to introduce five smart TV products using the Android operating system that will be officially launched in December this year.

VinSmart Research and Manufacture JSC have recently announced a co-operation agreement with Google to develop smart TVs under the Vsmart brand with Google features.
According to the agreement, VinSmart and Google have developed smart TVs using the Android 9.0 operating system. Besides using the copyrighted operating system, Vsmart smart TVs will integrate features from Google such as voice search, Google Assistant, Chromecast screen, entertainment system from Google Play, or YouTube. Vsmart TV features voice search in Vietnamese.
In addition, Vsmart TV has a built-in Chromecast (smart wireless connection) that allows projection from smartphones. Products are also fully equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and HDMI connection.
Vsmart TVs are designed ultra-thin with a 3-sided edge-to-edge screen with 4K resolution.
It is expected that VinSmart will have five smart TV models using Android. The products will be officially introduced to consumers in December 2019. The selling price of these models has not been disclosed.
In the market, 55 inch 4K TVs from famous brands like Sony, Samsung, and LG are priced in the range of VND15-60 million ($650-2,600), depending on screen technology.
