The Long Bien Vincom Centre, a commercial complex developed by Vingroup, officially opened to the public on December 24.

The five-storey, 45,000m2 commercial centre, part of the Vincom Village in Hanoi’s Long Bien district, began construction in May and was completed after seven months.

The first storey of the complex features a wide range of fashion from well-known local and international brands, as well as a supermarket and outdoor cafés.

Books, toys and furniture are for sale on the second storey while household appliances are located on the third.

The fourth floor features food courts, restaurants and entertainment areas and the top floor is reserved for cinemas, spas and a fitness centre.

Long Bien Vincom Centre is one of the most luxurious retail centres in Hanoi and expects to create a new shopping frenzy in the capital’s north-east.

At the opening ceremony, the vice president of Vingroup Le Khac Hiep said Long Bien Vincom Centre boasts the highest standards of the group’s chain of premium commercial complexes.

He added that it is not only a heaven for shoppers, but also a cultural rendezvous site offering a totally different lifestyle for everyone to enjoy.

Arts and musical performances will be presented on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings during the festive month from December 25 until January 21 next year.

The centre will also offer huge discounts on a variety of products to celebrate its grand opening and the upcoming Lunar New Year. A total of VND6 billion ($288,000) worth of gift vouchers will be distributed to consumers who shop at the centre during this time.

Vingroup has been operating two other commercial centres in central Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City before opening the Long Bien Vincom Centre.
