The report highlights that Viettel Global's sales and service revenue was over $380 million in the third quarter (Q3), marking a 25 per cent on-year increase, a growth rate five times higher than the global telecommunications growth of 4.1 per cent, as reported by Gartner consultants.
Viettel Global saw revenue growth across all markets in Q3, with notable increases including Lumitel in Burundi at 80 per cent, Natcom in Haiti at 28 per cent, Movitel in Mozambique at 21 per cent, and Telemor in East Timor at 20 per cent.
Particularly remarkable were the growth rates in the e-wallet sector, where Lumicash in Burundi grew by 82 per cent, M_mola in Mozambique by 80 per cent, Halopesa in Tanzania by 45 per cent, and Emoney in Cambodia by 16 per cent.

For the first nine months of the year, Viettel Global reported total revenue of close to $1.1 billion, a 25 per cent on-year increase. Pre-tax profit rose sharply to over $250 million, reflecting a 162 per cent growth, while post-tax profit soared by 343 per cent to almost $145 million.
Viettel Global has earned prestigious international awards throughout 2024, with the most recent achievements at the Stevie International Business Awards in October, where Viettel Burundi and Viettel Cambodia collectively won five awards, including two gold and three silver.
