The company generated consolidated revenue of over $1 billion in 2022, representing an increase of $187.5 million on-year. Expenditure increased only slightly, bringing gross profit from $163.6 to $446.7 million. Meanwhile, the gross profit margin on sales surpassed 40 per cent to reach 46.4 per cent.
Revenue from Africa and Southeast Asia grew to a combined total exceeding $900 million for the first time, making a significant contribution to the company's growth last year.
Specifically, revenue from Africa increased by 28 per cent to $460 million. Meanwhile, revenue from the Southeast Asia market increased by 24 per cent to $447 million. Revenue from the Latin American market reached $97 billion.
Affiliated companies generated $10.6 million, an increase of about $85 million compared to the previous year.
Viettel Global recorded a pre-tax profit of over $127.5 million for the first time last year, more than tripling the $37.4 million achieved in 2021.
After-tax profit reached $65.5 million, while after-tax profit of parent company shareholders hit $35.4 million.
By the end of 2022, Viettel Global had posted total assets of more than $2.14 billion and equity of more than $1.24 billion.
