During this year's National Day, Betting with the Ghost will bring together a cast of actors and actresses such as Hoai Linh, Le Giang, Tuan Tran, and Diep Bao Ngoc.

A launch event for the comedy movie was held on August 7 by Bluebells Studios, the movie’s production team, in which Tuan Tran, Diep Bao Ngoc, Quang Minh, and director Trung Lun appeared.

At the event, the producer announced that Betting with the Ghost will be released directly in Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Brunei, and Taiwan.

The distributor of the movie for international markets is Mockingbird Pictures, the most active licensing company in Southeast Asia. Mockingbird has contributed to hits such as Exhuma, Death Whisperer, Concrete Utopia, and Honeysweet, and wants to export more Vietnamese culture to international markets.

Creative producer Vo Nguyen Dan shared that the idea of creating the movie came from a coffin bearer.

"Their job is to care for and decorate the corpse, helping the deceased and reach their final resting place. But they are also said to have the ability to connect with the underworld," Dan said. "The film wants to exploit spiritual elements to get rich. However, everything will have its price, and what the main character goes through in the movie will not be easy."

Also at the launch event, the makers unveiled footage that included Tuan Tran in an entirely different role from his previous movies. Tran plays a young man who loves to gamble, and ends up making a deal with a ghost.
