Vietnam music lovers recently enjoyed music of Boney M, a band from Germany. Next month they will have a chance to see another legendary band, also from Germany, "Modern Talking".

Along with Boney M, Modern Talking used to be famous worldwide. In Vietnam, the music of Modern Talking was once very popular, especially at wedding parties. Those who were born in the 1960s and 1970s still listen to Modern Talking’s songs.

Modern Talking is a German duo consisting of Thomas Anders and Dieter Bohlen. They have been referred to as Germany's most successful pop duo, and have had a number of hit singles, reaching the top five in many countries.

Some of their most popular and widely known singles are "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "You Can Win If You Want", "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie", "Atlantis Is Calling (S.O.S. for Love)" and "Geronimo's Cadillac".

Modern Talking worked together from 1983 to 1987, when the band split up. In 1997, they reunited and made a successful comeback, recording and releasing music from 1998 to 2003.

The duo released singles which again entered the top ten in Germany and abroad. Some of those singles were "You're My Heart, You're My Soul '98", "You Are Not Alone" and "TV Makes the Superstar".

They have sold more than 130 million records in their career, including eight million copies for their single debut “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” (1985).

Anders started his solo career immediately after Modern Talking parted company in 2003, while Bohlen has been focusing on new talents.

Anders will be performing the biggest hits of the duo at the Modern Talking Live in Concert at the Hanoi National Convention Center on November 16.

Bohlen, guitarist and composer for the pop duo, will not be in Vietnam for the event.
