This was revealed in an analysis by Airbus and the International Air Transport Association using statistics about the flight numbers from Flightdatar24 and Airbus.
The following places are Mexico, Brazil, Russi, and Spain, among others. Thailand stands at 24th position of the total 25 countries having the fastest recovering domestic aviation sector.
Besides this, domestic flights saw a breakthrough increase in terms of both passenger and cargo traffic in the first half of 2022.
According to Dinh Viet Thang, director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, aviation served 38.9 million domestic passengers, up 52.6 per cent. Vietnamese air carriers accommodated 20.1 million passengers, up 56.1 per cent on-year.
Cargo transport was estimated to reach 765,000 tonnes, up 30.6 per cent on-year.
It is forecasted that this year, airports in Vietnam will likely welcome 87.8 million passengers, up 190 per cent from 2021. International tourist arrivals by air are expected to reach five million, up 844 per cent. And domestic arrivals will reach 82.8 million, up 178.4 per cent.
Also, cargo transport is forecast to reach about 1.5 million tonnes this year, up 5 per cent from 2021.
