Tien Minh remains number 11 in BWF rankings

Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh retained his 11th place in the world’s latest rankings for August, which were released recently by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Minh missed the chance to improve his position after an unsuccessful competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Chinese Olympic gold medalist Lin Dan still holds the top position in the world, followed by runner-up Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia and China’s bronze medal winner Chen Long.

Tien Minh will take part in the US$50,000 Vietnam Grand Prix Open 2012 scheduled from August 21 to 26, aiming to accumulate more points to enhance his ranking on the BWF ladder.
