The Soc Trang investment promotion conference focused on cooperation and development is scheduled to take place at the province’s Culture and Conference Centre on April 29.

Soc Trang has witnessed remarkable improvements in socioeconomic development in recent years

The event aims to attract about 300 participants including state leaders, management agencies, representatives from diplomatic organisations and trade promotion associations, businesses, and investors.

The agenda will feature opening remarks from the Soc Trang Party Secretary, a speech from the chairman of Soc Trang People’s Committee centring on the recent investment attraction results in Soc Trang, plans for future investment, and the presentation of an investment wish list.

Later this month, the Soc Trang investment promotion conference aims to draw around 300 participants.

The schedule also includes input from different management bodies, such as a report from the Ministry of Planning and Investment about the development prospects of the Mekong delta region, a report from the Ministry of Transport on using infrastructure development as the driving force to propel the region’s socioeconomic development, and open discussion sessions.

Soc Trang’s leaders will grant investment certificates to large-scale projects and investment cooperation MoUs will be signed. Businesses and investors will also be lauded for their outstanding achievements over the past year.

The event will dedicate part of its space to an exhibition to bring exposure to the province’s achievements to date, future plans, and highlight its investment opportunities.
