Reference exchange rate up 8 VND on April 21
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,246 VND per USD on April 21, up 8 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,943 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,548 VND/USD.
The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw strong increases.
At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,330 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,540 VND/USD, both up 30 VND from the same time on April 20.
BIDV raised both rates by 25 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,375 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,555 VND/USD.
Similarly, Techcombank added 17 VND to both rates, posting the buying rate at 23,352 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,552 VND/USD.
