Today, Vietnamese people are facing the burden of rising healthcare costs and a growing incidence of non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular, cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and chronic respiratory diseases, which account for 77 per cent of total deaths nationwide. Non-communicable diseases are also the top medical conditions driving up medical costs in Vietnam.
“While non-communicable diseases continue to pose a threat to social and economic development in the 21st century, the world is now also facing a crisis as it battles the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As people around the world and in Vietnam tackle this health challenge, there is a greater need for instant, reliable, and relevant health information. With Pulse, users can manage their health from their own phones, anytime and anywhere, with the help of an AI-powered symptom checker, online consultations, and health assessment,” said Trang.
Users of Pulse can enjoy innovative offerings from a range of leading providers of health services. In the launch phase in Vietnam, Pulse offers users two key features – Symptom Checker and Healthcheck powered by Babylon. In addition, Body Mass Index (BMI), Wrinkle Index, and Hospital & Clinic Finder are other value-add features that provide interesting and helpful information for Vietnamese users. Other features including Online Consultation by MyDoc, Personalised Wellness Services, and My Policy for Prudential’s customers will be offered later in the year.
Through Pulse, Prudential Vietnam customers will also be able to manage their policies with ease and convenience. Not only will they be able to view a summary of their coverage and policy services, they can also make changes to their correspondence details and soon pay their premiums through the app as well.
