The COVID-19 patient is a 57-year-old man. He has symptoms of fever and cough. He was hospitalised on July 20, 2020 and on July 23 the first and second coronavirus tests were positive.
The patient will be confirmed to be infected with coronavirus if the tests at Pasteur Nha Trang Institute and the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology are positive.
According to the department, the patient did not leave his house within the past month.
The department has also tested his relatives and those having been in close contact with the patient. The results of the first tests were negative. The Department has asked units to take epidemiological investigation measures and isolate high-risk areas.
As of 6am of July 25, Vietnam had a total of 272 COVID-19 infection cases who are being quarantined across the country.
