Hanoi Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Veterinary Medicine inspected a meat processing factory belonging to C.P. Vietnam Corporation in Chuong My district on June 5.

The inspection team were looking for compliance with legal regulations related to poultry slaughter to ensure veterinary hygiene and food safety.

The results did not detect any violations at the time of inspection and C.P. Vietnam fully met the criteria on veterinary hygiene in poultry slaughtering following current legal regulations. Legal documents such as investment certificates, production processes, books on traceability of livestock origins, contracts for collection, transportation, and industrial waste services were all valid.

The inspection affirmed that the slaughterhouse and the meat processing factory come under the planning of Hanoi's concentrated livestock and poultry slaughterhouse network. The slaughterhouse, including the delivery area, the cages, the slaughter area, and the preliminary processing area, ensures a one-way principle from unsanitised areas to clean areas, meeting veterinary hygiene requirements and avoiding cross-contamination.

The report found that the slaughterhouse is part of an industrial chain, and operates well. Slaughtering is supervised by officers from the Animal Slaughter Diagnosis, Testing, and Control Station.
