Eleven year old musical prodigy Jayden Trinh Jesudhass on May 5 successfully advanced to the next and fourth episode of the music talent competition for children ‘Vietnam Idol Kids’.

At competition in the third episode held in Hanoi, the judges commented that they were impressed by Jayden’s skilful guitar playing and amazing vocals during his performance of the song ‘60 nam cuoc doi’ (60 Years of Life).

At the event, Jayden said he has been performing since he was five years old on the streets of his hometown Dunedin as well as several other cities in New Zealand and Europe.

He said his mother is Vietnamese but his father is from Singapore. One of his all-time favourite performers is Michael Jackson, whom he says he likes to imitate in his song and dance routines.
