On October 15, TEKCOM started production at its new plywood manufacturing factory in Nam Tan Uyen Expansion Industrial Park, which has a maximum total capacity of 132,000 cubic metres per year.
Founded in 2005, TEKCOM is a leading manufacturer and exporter of wood-based panels, specialising in film faced plywood in the construction industry. TEKCOM products have proved their reputation and superior quality throughout the years, while contributing 60 per cent of Vietnamese film-faced plywood exports and holding a 19 per cent share of the domestic market.
For the last 10 years and more, TEKCOM has been aiming for quality, safety, and environmental friendliness. From sourcing from controlled plantation wood to standardising production processes with integrated quality control, such as systematic sampling and lab-testing before delivery.
TEKCOM’s products currently hold international quality certifications, such as ISO 9001:2008, Certificate of Conformity EN13986 (the harmonised European standard for wood-based panels), and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)’s Chain of Custody Standard. TEKCOM is also one of the few plywood manufacturers in Vietnam that successfully applies ERP software (Enterprise Resource Planning) in its management.
TEKCOM has been working closely with its valued customers and dedicated partners to understand their needs and provide more innovative products at lower costs. Being a responsible player in the community, TEKCOM is also committed to continuous improvement to converge with international business standards and work ethics.
The Vietnamese wood export industry has grown significantly over the recent years. According to statistics published by the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the total export value of wood and wooden products leaving the country in the first 8 months of this year stood at $4.408 billion, up 1.4 per cent on-year. Vietnamese wood and wooden products are present in 37 countries and territories in the world, including the US, Japan, and China.
To cash in on the growing demand, the company is planning to build a new factory that will boost its total production capacity to 276,000 cubic metres by 2018.
