MB secured its position in the "Corporate Excellence Award" category for the fourth consecutive year at the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) 2023 on October 5.
This esteemed recognition comes as the bank continues to execute its business objectives successfully, maintaining steady growth and consistently enhancing the customer experience.
An APEA representative remarked, “The 2023 awards recognise businesses and entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional qualities and outstanding achievements, building successful enterprises while simultaneously creating significant value for the community.”
MB's journey to the top is not just serendipitous. With strategic investments in technology and a vision to become a leading digital enterprise, the bank has successfully garnered an impressive customer base.
By the end of June 2023, the bank boasted nearly 23.5 million individual customers and almost 300,000 corporate clients. A staggering 96 per cent of its transactions were executed through digital channels.
Beyond its core business operations, MB Bank is also committed to societal service. It inspires and spreads positive values within the community with its "Charity Social Network," a platform developed and launched by MB in September 2021.
This initiative leverages technology to foster transparency in charitable activities, connecting the community. To date, the platform has attracted over 998,000 participants, initiating nearly 2,800 community campaigns and raising funds exceeding $14.3 million.
Also on October 7, at the Vietnam Digital Awards 2023, MB's continuous strides in digital innovation were further spotlighted. The bank was recognised in the category of "Outstanding Digital Transformation Enterprise" for its four solutions – VietQR, Hi Collection Card, App Marketplace, and Online Loan Solution.
Launched in 2021, the VietQR payment feature has undergone constant refinement by MB. A recent introduction of the "VietQR balance change sharing" feature on the MBBank App is particularly beneficial for small merchants, enhancing payment speed and facilitating revenue management while ensuring transaction safety.
Further demonstrating its technological prowess, MB recently launched the MB Hi Collection Card, capturing the attention of the younger generation. This "2 in 1" multifunction card, integrating both credit and ATM functionalities, ensures safety while offering personalisation.
"Customers can activate the card in less than 60 seconds after identifying it on the MBBank App. It's an immediate hard card possession without the traditional wait," an MB representative said.
Another standout product on the MBBank App is the Mini App Market (MB Market Place). Developed with the vision of "transforming the MBBank App into a super-app platform, integrating various non-bank services to cater to the daily needs of over 20 million users," it was also recognised at the Sao Khue Awards 2023 for "Digital Transformation Platforms."
Just like the three solutions mentioned above, MB's Online Loan product was also highly rated by the organising committee for its modern technology application, offering a faster processing speed compared to traditional lending transactions, providing an unparalleled and convenient user experience.
“Receiving a series of prestigious domestic and international awards in 2023 is a testament to MB’s customer-centric philosophy and reflects our collective determination to realise our vision of becoming a digital group by 2026,” an MB spokesperson said.
MB nurtures young talents and embraces digital innovation In Vietnam, while many organisations embrace the synergy of youthful talent and advanced technology, only a few have committed wholeheartedly to specialised initiatives for nurturing this vital workforce segment. One outstanding exemplar that has garnered widespread student interest is the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB). |
