Leveraging the strengths of both parties, the collaboration will contribute to meeting the demand for high-quality workers in Vietnam’s industrial and high-tech sectors, and promote a shared vision for sustainable development.
Over more than three decades of development, GELEX has undergone a comprehensive transformation from an electrical equipment manufacturing company to one of Vietnam’s leading investment corporations.
The continuous expansion of its business scale and diversification of its operations has created an urgent need for a strategy to develop a high-quality, rapid, and sustainable pipeline for well-educated staff.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Trong Trung, deputy general director of GELEX Group, stated that the group aims to become a cradle for top talent and high-quality workers as talent is the driving force of all change.
GELEX has launched cooperation projects with diverse domestic and international educational partners to connect with young and talented students through the 'GELEX Connect' initiative, with HUST a key part of this scheme.
"HUST is a prestigious and influential institution in Vietnam for engineering education. We believe that this partnership will generate a strong pipeline of high-quality candidates in the industrial and tech sectors for GELEX, complementing the group’s R&D efforts while supporting the talent and career paths of the country’s youth," said Trung.

HUST's development strategy until the end of the decade centres on cultivating a skilled workforce, advancing scientific research, and driving technological innovation. A core pillar of this strategy is fostering deep, comprehensive partnerships with the domestic and international business community to amplify knowledge transfer and societal impact.
Speaking about the collaboration with GELEX, Huynh Dang Chinh, vice president of HUST said, "Our graduates represent a highly skilled workforce, making meaningful contributions to scientific advancement, technological innovation, and intellectual property development. We welcome the opportunity to build a lasting, multifaceted partnership with GELEX to further these shared goals."
'GELEX Connect' will be conducted over a 10-year period (2025–2035), aiming to connect and build sustainable relationships with educational partners both in Vietnam and abroad.
It will serve as a long-term R&D initiative to enhance the competencies of GELEX Group’s employees and those of its member companies.
