French films “Je Fais la Mort” and “Astérix – Le domaine des Dieux”to be screened in Hanoi

“Je Fais la Mort”, a movie by French director Jean-Paul Salomé, will be introduced at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien, Hanoi on May 5.

Je fais le mort is a 2013 French comedy film written and directed by Jean-Paul Salomé. The film stars François Damiens, Géraldine Nakache, Lucien Jean-Baptiste and Anne Le Ny. It was screened at the Rome Film Festivalunder the title “Playing Dead”.

The movie is about a has-been actor who takes a job playing victims in a homicide reenactment, where he meets a civil officer investigating real-life crime.

Language: French with Vietnamese subtitles. Tickets are available at L’Espace.

Another French movie “Astérix – Le domaine des Dieux” by Louis Clichy and Alexandre Astier will be screened at L’Espace on May 7th.

The comedy, adapted from the worldwide well-known Belgian-French comic, is an entertaining animation for the whole family.

Year 50 BC: all of Gaul is occupied by the Romans. All? Not quite! Because a village inhabited by unwavering Gaul is still resisting the invading hordes.

Exasperated by the situation, Julius Cesar decides to change tactics: because his armies are incapable of imposing themselves by force, Roman civilization itself will seduce these barbarian Gauls. Will our Gaul friends resist the lure of gain and Roman comfort? Will their village become a simple tourist attraction? Asterix and Obelix will do everything in their power to thwart Cesar’s plans.
