Cargill’s Provimi Vietnam recognised as 2023 best performer

Global animal nutrition and premix provider Provimi Vietnam, a part of Cargill Vietnam, accepted the esteemed 2023 Best FDI Premix Company award at the Vietstock 2023 Expo & Forum.

Approved by the director of the Department of Livestock Production at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, this recognition underscores Provimi Vietnam’s commitment to transforming animal nutrition and its contributions to Vietnam’s livestock industry.

The Vietstock 2023 Expo & Forum, a highly anticipated annual event within the livestock sector, gathered experts, professionals, and industry leaders worldwide to explore the latest developments in animal husbandry and agriculture. The event showcased pioneering technologies and solutions aimed at enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of animal farming.

The Vietstock award winners were selected based on stringent evaluation criteria, including operational scale, technical efficiency, social and environmental responsibility, sustainable development, value chain connection, and legal compliance.

Provimi Vietnam’s attainment of the 2023 Best FDI Premix Company award reflects its dedication to the development and delivery of high-quality, science-based animal nutrition solutions. These not only promote animal welfare but also empower farmers, fostering economic sustainability in Vietnam’s livestock sector.

Provimi Vietnam’s history of innovation in animal nutrition is characterised by continuous investments in research and development. The company collaborates closely with veterinarians, nutritionists, and farmers to create tailored nutritional solutions catering to the specific needs of animals at various growth stages.

In parallel with this achievement, Provimi is reshaping the Vietnamese animal farming landscape with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art $28-million premix plant in the southern province of Dong Nai on September 25.

The sprawling facility spans 30,000 square metres and boasts significantly improved technology and superior infrastructure, representing the pinnacle of Provimi’s premix facilities in Asia. With an annual capacity of 40,000 tonnes, the new plant signifies a 100 per cent increase over its predecessor, enhancing Vietnam's premix capabilities and self-sufficiency.

The plant's significantly larger production and warehousing capacity ensures the precision and traceability of speciality micro-nutrient products. With an automation rate exceeding 95 per cent, it sets the industry standard for quality control, providing partners and customers with product excellence assurance.

Cargill’s new facility backs up next phase of growth On September 25, Cargill opened a new Provimi Premix plant in southern Vietnam, enhancing its technology and increasing its capacity, fuelling the next phase of growth for its animal nutrition business.
