Themed ‘Exploring the Red River Delta - The source of Vietnamese culture’, the mart is part of activities in response to the National Tourism Year 2013 and the 2013 Tourism Promotion Programme.
Of the participating booths, 250 represented domestic businesses and another 150 booths represented foreign travel companies from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, France and Australia.
The tourism companies will be encouraged to discount their products by at least 20pct in the upcoming tourist season, between May and December this year.
The event, organised by the Vietnam International Administration of Tourism, the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Vietnam Tourism Association, aims to introduce the latest tourism products.
