VSIP Charity Fund grants 183 scholarships for students in Binh Duong

Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Charity Fund, in collaboration with VSIP Trade Union, has recently held a Scholarship Granting Ceremony in the southern province of Binh Duong as part of its on-going efforts to develop the local community.

VSIP Charity Fund awarded scholarships to studious children of disadvantaged workers in Binh Duong

The ceremony has offered scholarships for the studious children of disadvantaged workers at VSIP and other local families in the academic year 2018-2019. At the ceremony, 183 scholarships were granted to students from primary school to university with the total cash and gift value of more than VND355 million ($15,500).

In Binh Duong, VSIP Scholarship is one of the series of meaningful community activities ran by VSIP Charity Fund, which was founded by VSIP JV Company and VSIP’s customers in Binh Duong. The scholarship has supported 1,600 students with a total value of VND4.5 billion ($195,500).

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Thi Anh Dao, president of VSIP Charity Fund, said, “With the spirit of giving, the charity fund aims to motivate students to pursue their education and help their parents feel relieved to continue their work.”
