Viettel Global posts Q2 net profit of $91.14 million

Viettel Global (VGI) released its consolidated financial statement for the second quarter of 2025 on July 29, highlighting continued impressive growth in both revenue and profit.

Viettel Global's revenue from sales and services reached nearly VND10.5 trillion ($400.4 million) in Q2, up 21 per cent on-year. This marks the seventh consecutive quarter that Viettel has maintained a revenue growth rate of over 20 per cent, extending its growth streak to 11 straight quarters since the fourth quarter of 2022. The parent company's shareholders saw after-tax profits (net profit) climb 185 per cent to touch VND2.39 trillion ($91.14 million).

In the first half of 2025, Viettel Global posted VND20.17 trillion ($769 million) in net revenue, marking an on-year increase of 21.6 per cent and quadruple the global telecommunications growth rate of 4.7 per cent in 2025. The company also achieved a net profit of VND2.36 trillion ($89.9 million), up 10 per cent on-year. In light of this positive business performance, Viettel Global plans to pay a cash dividend to shareholders with a ratio of 7.5 per cent.

In the second quarter of 2025, all of Viettel Global’s markets continued the growth trajectory. Lumitel in Burundi surged 66 per cent, Natcom in Haiti increased 64 per cent, Halotel in Tanzania climbed 61 per cent, Movitel in Mozambique rose by 48 per cent, Telemor in Timor-Leste hiked 23 per cent, and Metfone in Cambodia jumped 13 per cent.

Digital financial services continued to grow rapidly, with Lumicash (Viettel Burundi) increasing 93 per cent, Halopesa (Viettel Tanzania) rising 91 per cent, Emoney (Viettel Cambodia) up 84 per cent, and e-Mola (Viettel Mozambique) climbing 59 per cent. These figures reaffirm the effectiveness of Viettel Global’s digital transformation strategy. Viettel Global not only pioneers in building digital societies across its investment markets but also unlocks the strong growth potential of its digital ecosystem. In the second quarter, Viettel Global continued to make a mark in the international market with six prestigious awards in digital transformation.

Beyond impressive figures, Viettel Global has focused on corporate social responsibility towards sustainable development. In the aftermath of the powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, Viettel Global swiftly coordinated with units across the Viettel Group and its local affiliate Mytel to maintain uninterrupted nationwide communications while mobilising both personnel and resources to support affected communities.

Viettel Group and Viettel Global were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of National Defence for their outstanding contributions to the earthquake rescue and relief efforts in Myanmar.
