The launching ceremony of the Vietnam Regional Specialties Fair 2021 |
Under the direction of Hanoi People’s Committee which assigned Hanoi Promotion Agency (HPA) to chair and coordinate with relevant organisations and units to hold the event at the end of the year.
This year, the fair consists of 135 stalls displaying nearly 10,000 speciality products from 46 provinces and cities nationwide, with the engagement of six major trade centres in the city, including Vincom Mega Mall Royal City, Vincom Mega Mall Times City, Vincom Plaza Long Bien, Big C Long Bien, Big C Le Trong Tan, and Big C Ho Guom.
In addition, speciality promotion areas were also launched at 20 supermarkets of the Vinmart and BRGmart systems.
Notably, more than 500 domestic and international distributors, wholesale markets, food store chains, restaurants, hotels, and canteens in Hanoi and other localities came to the event searching for suppliers. |
The fair included activities for trade connection, business networking, gift-giving, as well as product trial and demonstration, among others.
Along with that, diverse distribution systems and e-commerce platforms also made efforts to develop communication programmes to introduce the fair.
HPA director Nguyen Anh Duong said that the fair has been constantly growing and evolving throughout the years, improving quality and scale, becoming a promotional event of high reputation, providing a good opportunity for businesses and localities to promote their speciality products to domestic and foreign consumers.

To bolster quality and efficiency, the organising committee paid special attention to selecting products with clear origin, meeting food hygiene and safety standards, as well as COVID-19 prevention and control requirements, ensuring that sightseeing and shopping take place safely.
