Nguyen Chinh Nam, deputy general director of VNR, told VIR, “KORAIL has a wide and modern network, with a lot of experience in operating railway transport. Korea is also one of the few countries in the world that has succeeded in receiving and developing high-speed railway technology.”
At the meeting, KORAIL provided VNR with information about training projects, including a workforce course for high-speed railways, which will be implemented throughout the rest of 2025 with a budget of $270,000 funded by KORAIL. A second course will focus on Korean Railway legal regulations and policies and will also be implemented this year, with an estimated budget of $330,000.
This is part of VNR and KORAIL's efforts to improve railway safety management in Vietnam, and build high-speed railway capacity in Vietnam.
KORAIL is known as one of the leading units in the management and operation of high-speed railways in the world. Cooperation with KORAIL brings the opportunity to directly access the world's leading advanced technology, and create conditions for Vietnamese staff, engineers, and technicians to be trained, gain practical experience, and transfer knowledge.
