Organised by Phuong Viet Performance Art Agency and its partners, the event aims to discover models for careers at home and abroad.
It also encourages amateur models to show off their modelling skills and offers them an opportunity to work professionally.
Contestants must be Vietnamese aged between 16 and 24.
Women must be at least 1.65 metres tall and men 1.75m.
They will be judged on their appearance in both modern and traditional costumes.
Poise and style of presentation will be the decisive factors in determining the winners.
Ten finalists will be nominated, with the top female and male contestants and first runners-up winning hundreds of millions of dong in prize money.
The winners will go on to compete in international beauty and modelling contests this year.
Several talented designers, make-up artists, and stage directors, including 2017 Miss Globe Khanh Ngan and 2017 Manhunt International winner Truong Ngoc Tinh, will help the contestants.
The contest’s selection rounds will be held in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Can Tho and HCM City on March 10, 13 and 15.
The final will be held on March 31 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.
