“Viet Nam Days in Netherlands” launched in The Hague

“Viet Nam Days in the Netherlands” was kicked off on September 23 (local time) in The Hague.

Addressing the launching ceremony, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai highlighted the significance of the bilateral ties especially following the establishment of the strategic partnership on climate change, water management, agriculture, and food security.

The event is expected to strengthen mutual understanding among people and business communities; promote exchanges and cooperation among ministries and localities of the two sides, said Deputy PM Hai.

On behalf of the Dutch Government, Mr.  Andre Haspels expressed his impression of Viet Nam’s achievements in recent years and showed pleasure to witness the developments in the bilateral ties.

He said he was convinced that the event would contribute to promoting the cooperative ties and economic exchange activities between the two countries in the coming time.

Right after the opening ceremony, a traditional and modern art performance was held with the participation of over 500 spectators.  

The same day, Deputy PM Hai also met with Amsterdam Mayor Eberhard van der Laan to exchange experience on urban planning, management, development and beef up local linkages.
