The Vietnamese team started the game focused on making it into the finals for the second consecutive year.

Thai Son Nam’s hopes were quickly dealt a blow in the first minute of the match when Tobias Seeto scored to give Warriors an early 1-0 lead.

Quynh Toan tied it 1-1 eight minutes later in a Thai Son Nam counter-attack but they soon trailed again following a clever finish by Jarrod Basger in the 11th minute.

The Vietnamese side got their rhythm back in the second half and tied up the score for the second time in the 21st minute before sealing the victory with four more goals in the 26th, 28th, 36th and 40th minutes.

Thai Son Nam will join Chonburi Bluewave GH Bank Rbac (Thailand) and Shenzhen Nanling Tielang (China) as representatives of the East and Southeast Asian zone at the upcoming 2013 AFC Futsal Clubs Championships final stage.

The final round will see competitions from eight strong participants across the continent including last year’s top three teams from Iran, Uzbekistan, and 2013 hosts Japan; and top three finishers at the East and SE Asian zone qualifiers. The two remaining slots will be decided later in the South and Central Asian zone qualification tournaments.
