SCB launched platinum debit card

Today, Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd. officially launched its platinum debit card, which provides cardholders with a wide range of benefits and privileges including travel and golf.

On this special occasion Peter Sands, group chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank globally, joined the country team to congratulate all on this achievement and to encourage further expansion of the bank in the Vietnamese market.

Unique benefits and privileges with Standard Chartered Bank’s platinum debit card include discounted green fees at golf courses in Vietnam and globally, global travel accidental death and disablement insurance with maximum limit up to $500,000, and total daily purchase limit up to VND200 million ($10,000).

In Vietnam, Standard Chartered’s history can be traced back to 1904 when the bank opened its first branch in Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City).  

Following the official approval from the State Bank of Vietnam, effective August 1, 2009, Standard Chartered commenced operations in its locally incorporated entity – Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Limited.
