Bia Saigon, the leading brand of Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (SABECO) has officially become the diamond sponsor for the 31st rendition of the SEA Games, to be held in Vietnam, after signing sponsorship agreements last week.

“As the leading homegrown brand for many decades, Bia Saigon always takes pride in supporting and promoting the spirit of the country’s sports both at national and international levels,” said Bennett Neo, general director of SABECO. “We are proud to continue our commitment as the loyal companion and supporter of Vietnam’s participation in the SEA Games, and with the next edition to be held in Vietnam, we want to cheer our fellow athletes to achieve greater success, sharing the same objective of bringing glory and recognition to the country.”

SABECO is also taking pride in being able to join forces with the Department of Physical Training and Sports as well as the SEA Games Organising Committee in supporting activities for the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, Neo added.

Unconditional support

As a diamond sponsor, Bia Saigon will accompany and support the national sporting teams of Vietnam at the event, in addition to a series of activities within the event’s framework. This marks Bia Saigon’s latest commitment to the SEA Games, after it was also named an official sponsor for the nation’s athletes at SEA Games 30 in the Philippines.

In addition to being the sponsor, Bia Saigon is also offering cash rewards to gold medal winners in both individual and team events as an appreciation to athletes who make the country proud.

In addition to SEA Games 31, Bia Saigon is currently the exclusive sponsor in the beer industry for the national football teams of Vietnam. This covers all domestic and international activities of the men’s national football team, women’s national football team and men’s U22/23/Olympic teams until June 2022.

Bia Saigon is no stranger to the country’s sport and culture, where it has also sponsored the Tien Phong National Marathon in 2020 and other international sporting activities, including the AFF Suzuki Cup in 2018. That same year, Bia Saigon became the first Vietnamese company to accompany the English Premier League, when Bia Saigon brand became the official sleeve sponsor for Leicester City.

Last week, SABECO officially launched the Ban Sac Viet collection, which consists of 63 beer cans featuring signature scenery, culture, and customs of each province or city, accompanied by a short quote depicting local traditions.

This is the most meaningful and special collection from Bia Saigon by far. The initiative cleverly recreates the characteristics of each region, expressing the spirit of national cohesion of the 63 provinces and cities across the country and demonstrating the precious beauty of Vietnam from north to south, celebrating a spirit of unity and recognition of our culture and togetherness during challenging times.
