In light of Phu Yen’s provincial planning towards the end of this decade and beyond to 2050, the province will develop different logistics centres associated with Tuy Hoa Airport, Vung Ro Port and Bai Goc Deepwater Port, and Dong Hoa Inland Container Depot, striving to ensure logistics centres connected with large urban areas and local industrial parks (IPs), along with building relevant infrastructure to facilitate multimodal transport such as freight stations for trains and roads connecting to the North-South Expressway network.

The logistics centres aim to improve domestic warehousing and value-added services, as well as consolidating current road, rail, waterway and air infrastructure, ensuring their connections to large urban areas and local IPs.

In July 2021, Phu Yen People's Committee issued a plan to develop logistics services towards 2025.
Accordingly, the goal is to have in place strong logistics centres to contribute to enhancing provincial competitiveness; constantly improving seaport, warehouse, transport and ICT infrastructure; and boosting investment attraction into developing logistics infrastructure.
Phu Yen shall prioritise logistics services for IPs, simultaneously supporting the formation and development of modern and professional logistics businesses to ensure market competitiveness.
To reach this goal, Phu Yen will prioritise investment attraction to develop logistics, transport and warehouse infrastructure and new applications in the sector, and build logistics centres in South Phu Yen Economic Zone and IPs to bolster connectivity between Phu Yen and other localities in central and Central Highlands provinces.
Other tasks involve building and upgrading Vung Ro Port to facilitate the import and export of goods, effectively serving the socioeconomic development of the province and other localities in the Central Highlands region.
The prime target is to turn Phu Yen into a major logistics centre in the south-central sub-region.
