On March 2, Phu Yen People’s Committee held a conference to announce the province's long-term plans and promote investment in the locality this year.
Investors received the certificates at the conference, with half dedicated to trade, services, and tourism.
Some of the larger projects include the $89 million Nui Thom Ecotourism Area by Sao Phuong Bac Phu Yen JSC, the $80.9 million Vung Lam resort by Everland Phu Yen JSC, the $44.5 million Hoa Thanh beach resort by Hoa Thanh Resort Beach Tourist Area Co., Ltd., and the $40.5 million Bai Nom Ecotourism Area by Viet An Phu Yen Housing Trading and Investment JSC.
Other projects in the hospitality sector include the Xuan Dai Bay commercial service and tourist resort complex worth $32.4 million, the Casanova Bai Tram luxury resort worth nearly $8.9 million, and Fleur De Lys Resort Phu Yen valued at $10 million.
In addition, Phu Yen People’s Committee also awarded six investment cooperation memoranda worth VND128.8 trillion ($5.23 billion) to investors.
Accordingly, Hoa Phat Group is exploring investment opportunities in three projects, including Bai Goc Port with estimated capital of about VND24 trillion ($971.7 million), Hoa Tam Industrial Park with an investment of VND13.3 trillion ($538.5 million), and the Hoa Phat iron and steel complex in Hoa Tam Industrial Park worth about VND86 trillion ($3.5 billion).
N&G Group JSC is also exploring the possibility of developing a high-tech industrial park for a cost of VND2.55 trillion ($103.3 million). Meanwhile, TH Group JSC will continue its investment in the Phu Yen clean food complex project with investment of VND1.55 trillion ($62.8 million). Trung An High-Tech Farming JSC is also eyeing an electricity generation and household waste treatment plant worth VND1.4 trillion ($56.7 million).
