The electronics company has taken part in a range of schemes to invest in sustainability and developing an eco-friendly way of life across the country, with a particular emphasis on young people.
“We hope to inspire and invite young Vietnamese people in pioneering a green, healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Some highlights of the campaign include over 4.8 million views for a series of inspirational videos about the green lifestyle.
A total of 305,085 participated in the "Go Green Quiz with Gen G," which took place over weeks. Some 579 young people actively participated in the Green Living Challenge, creating 2,358 green actions such as reuse and recycling, reducing plastic waste, and saving energy, etc, with the estimated CO2 emission reduction of 5.4 tons of CO2 per week.
About 80 environmental initiatives of young people from 18 to 29 years old across Vietnam were submitted to participate in the Gen G Ambassador initiative. In which, 20 potential initiatives entered the final round and eight initiatives were selected to receive the support from Panasonic

“Panasonic’s campaign not only gave us the funding to implement our environmental initiatives, but also empowered us with skills enhancement and practical knowledge to contribute more to society,” said Bach Thai Hien, member from Zero Waste Community project, one out of eight initiatives selected, after receiving sponsorship from Panasonic.
Director of the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication Nguyen Viet Dung said, “In the context of the government’s net-zero direction in 2050, the campaign "Live Green and Wellness with Gen G" of Panasonic has provided an opportunity to spread the green and sustainable lifestyle to Vietnamese young people, and more importantly, empower young people to be creative and take action to turn paper proposals into reality.”
The “Green Day with Gen G” event has become a weekend festival for young people, especially for those who love green and wellness lifestyles. In addition, the event also displayed and exhibited youth environmental initiatives from the top 20 of the finalists of the Gen G Ambassador programme.
