Novaland named in Top 100 Sustainable Businesses 2019 in Vietnam

Launched in 2016, the ceremony to announce the Top 100 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam was one of the most anticipated awards of the year for the enterprise community, as it provides a comprehensive outlook on the sustainability efforts of each enterprise.

The enterprises were selected based on the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI) compiled by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) that includes 98 criteria across the three categories of economy, society, and the environment.

Sustainable development is essential to earning prestige in the real estate industry and has thus been playing a central role in all activities of Novaland. As a listed company, Novaland has been relentlessly pursuing this target to contribute to helping Vietnam reach its green growth target as well as the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Notably, Novaland's sustainable development targets embrace the breadth and width of the group's operations, including economic growth, human resources development, and environmental impact management. Novaland is one of the few enterprises which have established a sustainable development council with outside members who have knowledge and experiences in the sectors of economy, society, and environment.

Especially, since early 2018, Novaland has implemented its private sustainable development report to supplement its annual report. This individual report was built based on the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative, the latest standards for sustainable development reporting. This level of commitment to transparency in its sustainability initiatives has been applauded by the organiser of the Top 100 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam in 2018.

The group also invested millions of dollars to implement the Enterprise Resource Planning system in order to support managing and controlling activities to ensure standards about information safety. It is a basis for developing a series of new technology applications, creating added value for customers and enterprises.

In 2019, Novaland’s efforts were recognised by a series of awards, including the 50 most effective businesses in Vietnam and the award for the best annual report.
