The Vietnam National Quality Awards is the only quality-focused honour at a national level, of which the golden prize is the highest accolade. The awards cover all areas, from quality management to sustainable development. Businesses are evaluated based on seven criteria comprising the role of leaders, strategic planning, customer and market orientations, measurement, knowledge analysis and management, human resource management and development, operational management, and operational results.
Tran Hau Ngoc, vice chairman of the National Committee for Standards, Metrology, and Quality, said that the awards have a strict evaluation process based on the principles of publicity, transparency, and objectivity. Award-winning enterprises are pioneers in applying quality management systems and tools to production and business, contributing to improving productivity and quality in Vietnam. In particular, the awards are an important tool to help enterprises comprehensively evaluate the performance of their management systems according to international standards.
At Nestlé Vietnam, quality, food safety, research and improvement, customer suitability, and humans are the cornerstones of the company's success and competitive advantage. These factors laid a solid foundation for the company to win the golden prize. To facilitate the goal, Nestlé Vietnam ensures strict compliance with food safety management processes, quality management, and labour safety in every stage of the operation and production processes, from inputs to complete products.
With a business strategy based on the motto “Creating Shared Value” and guided by the value of “Respect”, Nestlé Vietnam focuses on activities to maintain and regenerate resources for future generations. Nestlé’s product portfolio is constantly innovated and developed to meet the increasing needs of consumers through scientific foundations in research and development. In addition, Nestlé also encourages consumers to move towards a healthier lifestyle through sharing knowledge of nutrition and appropriate physical activity.
Binu Jacob, CEO of Nestlé Vietnam, shared his pride that the company was honoured with the golden prize National Quality Awards for the second time. “Participating in the awards provides an opportunity for the company to learn, evaluate, and comprehensively improve management activities, product quality, and services. The award is a recognition of Nestlé Vietnam's efforts in the journey to improve quality of life, contributing to a healthier future for Vietnamese people."
Established in 1995, Nestlé Vietnam is committed to a long-term investment for the sustainable development of Vietnam. With a vision to become a global company, bridging local communities and leading in sustainable development, Nestlé Vietnam places people at the centre of its activities and operates around three main pillars of innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
Among them, innovation and digital transformation create positive changes for the entire supply chain, improve product quality and consumer experience, support production operations and sustainable farming practices, and create a safe, productive, and connected workplace for employees.
With the motto “Creating Shared Value”, Nestlé Vietnam is a pioneer in implementing sustainable development initiatives for the business community towards the net-zero goal by 2050. The company has collaborated with many organisations to hold training and sharing sessions about greenhouse gas inventories, measurements, and reductions for businesses, especially stakeholders in the supply chain.
In addition, Nestlé’s success also stems from people, who are considered the company’s most important asset. Nestlé has committed to creating a favourable working environment with a competitive welfare regime and flexible working options to balance between personal life and work.
Thanks to these efforts, Nestlé Vietnam was recognised as the most sustainable business in Vietnam in the manufacturing sector from 2021-2023 and “Typical Enterprise for Labourers” for five consecutive years.
