Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park in Haiphong has been honoured as an outstanding industrial park with synchronous industrial and logistics infrastructure at the recently held Outstanding Industrial Park Polling 2022, hosted by Dien Dan Doanh Nghiep magazine, the news agency under Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (IP), invested by Sao Do Group – a well-established industrial real estate developer – is part of Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone.

The IP offers great advantages as it nears the sea and key traffic infrastructure works, which helps optimise logistics costs for investors.

Nam Dinh Vu IP covers an area of almost 1,330 hectares with four harmonious functional subdivisions, creating a finished, synchronous, and convenient business environment with industrial space, seaport, logistics, and petroleum and chemical zones, as well as industrial and warehousing complexes.

“As one of the hallmarks of Nam Dinh Vu IP, Nam Dinh Vu Port is designed and built following a modern seaport model. In addition to economic benefits, the port is an attractive destination to customers calling on the IP,” said Tran To Loan, deputy general director of Sao Do Group.

Nam Dinh Vu IP offers great advantages as it nears the sea and key traffic infrastructure works, which helps optimise logistics costs for investors.

Owning seven container and general cargo berths, the port can receive ships up to 40,000DWT, with a total capacity of 20 million tonnes per year. Currently, the entire phase one technical infrastructure at Nam Dinh Vu container port has been completed, with two berths having been put into operation, with a capacity of about 800,000 to 1 million TEU per year.

The port has been built and operating with smart port technology, including online order registration, online payment, and electronic certification, among others.

Especially, the transport fleet has been integrated with mobile apps to ensure multiway automatic communication, which will be further improved to provide new intelligent functions.

As such, Nam Dinh Vu IP has allured a raft of leading logistics firms such as Gemadept, Pantos Hai An, SLP, JD, Allan Logistic, Haiphong Port Services, and more, forming a logistics ecosystem right in the IP.

In the future, Sao Do Group aims to build a liquid cargo wharf, providing petroleum, gas, and natural gas services to industrial enterprises.

Sharing about current investment trend, experts assumed that the investors now prioritise investment locations with associated logistics facilities, especially warehouses, to drive down risks.

Grasping this trend, and leveraging the seaport’s advantages, many investors specialised in ready-made factories and warehouses, have chosen Nam Dinh Vu as an investment destination.

In mid-May 2022, Hong Kong investor JD Future Explore V Limited held the groundbreaking ceremony of JD Property Logistics Park Haiphong 1 project at Nam Dinh Vu IP.

With a total investment of $32 million, JD Property Logistics Park Haiphong 1 project aims to build warehouses for rent with area ranging from 5,000 to 55,000sq.m.

The project is expected to commence operation from the second quarter of 2023 and flexibly meets investors’ demands. In addition, JD Property is ready to provide ready-made warehouse solutions according to customers' requirements.
