Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more, which is most visible through Microsoft’s effort in creating and developing a wide range of innovative products and solutions. Moreover, Microsoft is also devoted to community and education activities to ensure that everyone, even the disadvantaged, have the skills and resources they need to participate in the digital age.

Since setting foot in Vietnam, Microsoft has donated more than $22 million in software and about $3 million in cash grants to more than 100 non-profit organisations in the country, building NGOs’ capacity on using technology to increase productivity and enhance their positive impact on communities. About 40 NGOs in Vietnam are now using cloud technology donated by Microsoft to serve Vietnamese people.

To date, YouthSpark—one of Microsoft’s outstanding community initiatives—has created opportunities for more than 150,000 disadvantaged Vietnamese youths to learn digital skills, improve employability, and develop entrepreneurship.

Together with the Ministry of Education and Training, Microsoft’s education programme has reached nearly 63,000 trainers and teachers nationwide. Microsoft’s employees are passionate about serving the community and have volunteered their time, clothes, and essential supplies to almost 2,000 underprivileged people, orphans, and children.

Microsoft is the leading platform and productivity company for the mobile-first, cloud-first world, and its mission is to empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more.

Microsoft’s endeavours over the last 18 years, together with the Vietnamese government, are to contribute to a healthy ICT industry growth, foreign investment attraction, and socioeconomic development. Microsoft, with its 500-partner network in the country, is proud to be part of the ICT industry to facilitate more opportunities for local communities.
