KN Holdings honored with green award

The award recognises the group's efforts in promoting environmental protection initiatives and improving the performance of its industrial real estate projects, which are a testament to the long-term strategy that the board of directors has worked hard to build.

The board clearly identifies green transformation as a corporate responsibility to the community and future generations.

KN Holdings is aiming to build a system of leading industrial parks (IPs) in the southern key economic region following a new ecological model, with coordination and value chain links between industries, to become a model of sustainable circular industry development. This ecosystem will be developed so that waste and sub-products from one production stage are reused as raw materials for another stage, creating a continuous cycle that can be found in nature.

Rooftop solar power will be deployed at all its facilities, and each project is expected to provide 2,400 GW per year. This system will provide a stable source of renewable energy, helping to reduce energy use from non-renewable sources and significantly reduce carbon emissions.

In addition, IPs will also apply advanced wastewater treatment systems and effective water resource management systems to minimise resource consumption.

In production, KN ​​Holdings is focused on improving working conditions and the health of its workers by designing workspaces that meet government regulatory conditions. The group has guaranteed to ensure 10 per cent of all sub-areas are covered by green spaces.

This strategy demonstrates KN Holdings' pioneering spirit in protecting the environment, and affirms its commitment to building a more sustainable future for everyone.

The awards honour investors and developers of eco-IPs, as well as secondary investors who lease land in IPs with green development strategies, by promoting sustainable development trends.

2024 is the first year that the Green Future Awards have been held alongside the Vietnam Industrial Property Forum. The committee reviewed and selected 28 businesses with the best green transformation strategies for the event.
