Its groundbreaking event was held in Haiphong on February 25, marking the development of a high-quality logistics centre offering warehousing and product storage services and utilising cutting-edge South Korean technologies. The venture is expected to facilitate economic exchanges between Vietnam and South Korea, while contributing to the growth of Haiphong's logistics sector and cementing its status as an important logistics hub in the northern region.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Le Trung Kien, director of Haiphong Economic Zones Management Authority, said, "Jeil Logistics 1 will make a significant contribution to the city's development by creating jobs for workers, attracting investment, and ensuring socioeconomic development."
Kim Eun-sook, CFO of Jeil Group, said, "Jeil Logistics 1 is not simply a logistics warehouse, it is the development of core infrastructure in Vietnam's supply chain and distribution sector. With the adoption of the most modern logistics system and effective supply chain management structure, it will provide logistics services faster and more accurately, contributing to reducing logistics costs and improving competitiveness."

At the ceremony, Jeli Logistics 1 also signed an MoU with the South Korean investment management fund KIRA and Sao Do Corporation.
Among 42 countries and territories investing in industrial parks and economic zones in Haiphong, South Korea takes the lead with $13 billion invested across 111 projects, accounting for over 46 per cent of the total sum.
