Hai Thinh wins int’l photo contest in Sydney

A breathtakingly beautiful photo entitled ‘Alone at Sunset’ of photographer Hoang Hai Thinh has won a bronze medal at the prestigious Sydney International Exhibition of Photography.

This year, the event attracted in excess of 2000 entries from around the globe in the categories of Colour, Monochrome, Creative, Nature and Wildlife.

Thinh said the photo taken at Ba Sao commune in the Kim Bang district of Ha Nam province in 2012 has also received other international awards in competitions at Macedonia, Egypt, the UK, Serbia, and Russia.

He has a great passion for photography. In 2010, he took top honours with the best cultural photo prize at the Gauruda International Photographic Contest in Indonesia.

Later that same year, he was selected as one of only ten international photographers to participate in a photo exhibition in Germany entitled ‘From Born to Berlin’.

In 2014, Thinh and photographer Nguyen Viet Thanh also exhibited collections featuring the serendipity of daily life and scenic beauty of the Vietnam’s landscapes in Australia.
