Green Energy Transition Showcase powers sustainable future
This event brought together industry leaders and experts to explore innovative solutions driving the transition to green energy in Vietnam

The event aimed to highlight key advancements and foster collaboration among stakeholders committed to sustainability and environmental progress.

It provided a platform for Vietnamese green energy startups Alternō, EBOOST, and Stride to showcase their innovative solutions and foster collaboration within the renewable energy industry.

Driven by rapid population growth and economic development, Vietnam faces growing energy demands.

Traditional fossil fuels, however, are running out and causing environmental damage. This requires a swift transition to renewable energy and carbon reduction.

ASSIST is working with the startups to support this transition by raising awareness about innovative alternative energy solutions and making them more accessible to individuals and businesses. These efforts aim to boost Vietnam's green energy movement and create a thriving ecosystem for renewable energy startups. The partnerships are supported by P4G.

Alternō's sand battery technology offers a sustainable and scalable energy storage solution. With its intelligent charging solutions, EBOOST is being rapidly adopted for electric cars, while Stride is enabling companies with affordable rooftop solar panels.

“We are excited to showcase the talent and innovation of these Vietnamese startups,” said Aru David, regional director of ASSIST Vietnam.

“This event is a platform for them to connect with investors and partners, while accelerating the development of Vietnam's green energy industry,” added David.

P4G is a multistakeholder initiative that accelerates partnerships in low- and middle-income countries.

P4G contributes to green and inclusive growth by providing grants and technical assistance for early-stage businesses to become investment-ready and supporting country climate transitions in food, water, and energy systems.

ASSIST is an international non-government organisation focused on capacity building. It seeks to promote sustainable practices to address social problems in the developing world, particularly in Asia and Africa.

It takes a process-oriented approach to capacity building towards social improvement and sustainable transformation. Its goal is to empower its target groups to make them resilient to social, economic, and environmental challenges.

It is unusual to feel nostalgic when you glimpse the future. Seeing an electric rickshaw for the first time, I could not help but smile reminded the spluttering sound of rickshaws which filled the crowded Indian streets of my youth. New electric models are quickly becoming a more common sight in those parts of Southeast Asia which share that three-wheeled transport tradition.
